She & Him...Lovely and Amazing
That's a clip from last night's Conan O'Brien of She & Him, my favorite group of the moment. They're seen here getting a little background help from friends Yo La Tengo.
Last night's She & Him show at Webster Hall, their first major performance, was amazing. Zooey Deschanel had lost her voice the previous night, so there was no between-song chitchat sadly, but it was made up in spades by her winning smile and her outward enthusiasm to be on stage in front of a packed house of very ardent admirers. I think I heard everyone around me comment on how cute she was.
2 more days till Europe! It was a great way to get me in the mood.
SNL's Twins
So my co-workers and I have watched this about, um, a thousand times.
The quote of the day: "I said Weee!"
File under: Hmmm?
Is it just me, or does Zachary Levi (from NBC's new show "Chuck") have more than a few similarities to John Krasinski (Jim from NBC's "The Office")?
Emmy-winning "30 Rock" returns tonight
Fresh off the Shrine Auditorium stage, where Tina Fey accepted the Emmy for Best TV Comedy, "30 Rock" will start its second season tonight on NBC. The ratings-starved (but, per usual, critically-acclaimed) series should hopefully see a big bump in viewers tonight. Right, America? Let's all get on board with this witty, consistently good show! Don't let this go the way of "Arrested Development"! Tonight's episode has a much-touted guest appearance from none other than Mr. Jerry Seinfeld. Get a preview here.
Have you seen Tina Fey's winning new American Express commerical? The tone of this spot really captures the brilliance of "30 Rock."
"She had MAN hands!"
TBS has created a photo comprised entirely of "Seinfeld" references. Click here to see how many you can guess. NOTE: My readers have corrected me. There are, in fact, Muffin Tops (one of my favorite references from the show) located on the right-hand bottom corner of the photo.
